Found in Maine…. A pair of WWII>later? US M13A1 6x30 Binoculars #74931 with internal Range Reticle scale in left lens, sold *AS IS*These binoculars do seem to
work good, collimation seems good,etc!
When I initially got them, both of the focusing eyepieces were essentially “frozen” from non-use… so I cleaned them with a toothbrush with a small amount of light sewing machine oil… which did “loosen” them up to a point that I could move them, and focus them! The right side is still a little hard to turn, but may loosen up with use??
Also, the right eyecup piece was cracked and being held together with some very old masking tape, which was peeling off, so I put a temporary piece of black electrical tape on the eyecup to keep it held together, this eyecup should be replaced.. but since its original to the binoculars , I wanted to include them. There are a few small leather cracks on the body covering, but overall not bad!! The glass/internal elements looks decent, no signs of fungus or damage, just the normal dust/particles indicative with age, etc.
No strap or case, just the binoculars… sold AS IS
