WWII US NAVY CREAM WOOL COT BLANKET
This Buy It Now item is for a WWII wool cot blanket.  It is approximately 70" x 51" and is stamped on one side / each end US NAVY.  One stamp is a bit lighter than the other.  The donor's father was commissioned as a Lt. after attending Officer Candidate School. He was a supply officer in the Panama Canal Zone when WWII ended.  He was called back into active duty as a Lt. Commander for the Korean conflict.  The donor believes he was given the blanket upon entering Officer Candidate School. There is a small label with his name & city/state in green.  All the edge stitching is intact.  There are a few dark areas & small moth damage spots - See photos.  Has been stored in a zippered plastic bag in her mother's cedar chest.
This item was donated to The Settlement Home for Children.
