WW2 Rare Experimental Collapsible Canteen Cover with Ultra Rare Wire Belt Hanger UWG-0218. Manufactured by Jefferson Quartermaster Depot 1942-43, no markings as with all JQMD products of the time. Referred to as the "Jungle Canteen" for the area it was tested. This particular wire belt attachment, called the "Flexo Hanger" was quickly abandoned because the canteen kept falling from the belt, later versions had either the standard belt hook or shoulder strap. Condition looks to be unused but has some dirt from storage. This listing is for the cover ONLY, no bladder included. Ships USPS Priority Mail padded envelope to US addresses. No returns.
