    Description

    WW2 GI Grenade Pouch--First Model Type--1944
    Original WW2 GI grenade pouch, OD #3 [greenish-khaki] canvas and web construction consisting of three pockets with single snap flaps [similar to first aid dressing pouch], belt hook on back, and khaki cotton leg tie tapes on bottom. Well marked U.S. on flap, BRAUER 1944 on back of top flap. Snaps are marked KLIKIT PULL. Pockets would carry one frag [for a total of three] and could not carry smoke or similar grenades. Later in the year the more common M1944 version with double snap flaps and greater capacity [six frags or three smokes] was introduced.
    Pouch appears to have seen little if any use. Much harder to find than the M1944 version and is in excellent condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
