    Description

    This is an RARE Original, Vintage Photograph depicting the main entrance to the Douglas Aircraft Company's Long Beach Plant showing the 16-ft Copper Globe. Probably dates from the 1940's. In the early 2000's, the Boeing Company decided to tear down the Long Beach production plant (famous for manufacturing the DC-10, DC-9 (MD-10 and MD-80) as well as the C17 aircrafts) in order to develop a commercial and residential village called Douglas Park. They wanted to use the 16 foot tall copper globe as the centerpiece of the 261-acre site, but it had gone missing!
    This original photo is in good condition with no damage. Size is 4.5" x 3.25"
    The back has a bit of the black paper stuck where it seems to have been stuck in an album at some point.
