ORIGINAL US ARMY DOWN FEATHER SLEEPING BAG

This is an original US Army down sleeping bag.  I suspect this has seen lots of post service use from how well this has been taken care of.  There are small repairs here and there and a couple patches.  I took photos of all the patches/repairs I could find.  Unfortunately the QM tag has been removed so I cannot accurately date this.  You can still see the faint "US" marking.  Has a good working TALON zipper, the pull has a piece of cloth like cord attached to it so the original pull is missing.  I also suspect that ties to roll the bag up have been removed but I can't see where that may have been done.  The name stenciled on it, "A.I. YOUNG" was a person who was in the service but I do not know what branch of service he was in.  I did however find this in an outbuilding on the property that once belonged to the Young family in Colorado.  They have all passed now so there is no one left I can ask about it.
If I were to guess I would say this is either from the 1940's or 1950's, but that is only a guess.
Good used condition.  The down is not compacted and the bag still has great loft to it.

and return it for a full refund. I try to pack things as best I can, and if I feel I was amiss on that I will gladly work with somebody. Sometimes I forget people value boxes and packaging and I can feel their pain so if I feel I didn't package something good enough I am more than happy to work with someone. Most of the time I am very careful although I do try to use whatever boxes I can find instead of buying them to keep from charging a handling fee.
