    Description

Up for auction is a WWII-era MN-20A rotatable loop antenna, combining directional finding and general radio signal receiving, for MN-26 and RA-10 Radio Receivers as used in bomber and transport aircraft of the US Army Air Force and US Navy. Later, the system was designated AN/ARN-11. The loop was rotated by a control panel (such as the MN-28, not included) at the navigators station, which was connected to the antenna base with flexible shaft cables.
The MN-20A was retrofitted on various P-40 Warhawk and P-51 Mustang models in the China/Burma/India theater. See photos in listing (photos borrowed off internet).
It is in exceptional condition given its age. The loop itself is 9 inches diameter, and the unit is 14 inches high, with the base of 10 inches long, and 5.5 inches wide.
Antenna will be well-packed and shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Bid with confidence and please feel free to ask any questions.
