M1 Carbine Stock

M1/M2 Carbine Stock.SA marked Springfield military used stock...bumps,bruises and battle scars...a used milsurp stock..not a new or perfect stock but not bad if your looking for a been there set...has recoilplate,buttplate bandspring and early WW2 2 rivet type one handguard...i see no markings on the guard.i never had recoilplate out but i think its a later cast piece,probably not marked,its in good shape though..buttplate might be ww2 npm made...but im not sure on that..in pictures...handguard has a little glued split at very back in the groove..about a inch,inch and half or so long...still a nice solid original early guard....stock is a springfield made stock..SA marked left side of barrell channel...bit of a chunk missing left side of recoilplate....also has very light split on bottom forward of mag area.comes from the right side corner of,mag area forward...i think its just on inside..its got some glue in it...maybe 2.5 or 3 inches you can see it inside.....i tried to get good pictures of both inside and outside..really light split,not sure how good the glue is but i see no opening/movement inside or out with a bit of stress on it..i did not try to break it though.......right side bottom of grip has some sort stain...might be old military paint that soaked into that spot..might even be a knot natural blemish in the wood..i was thinking old paint because there were some #s that are pretty much just a ghost on bottom of grip..maybe a 44 in what was white paint and a 14? In black paint...hardly there anymore...cant really see,mostly in grain...picture of the blemish im talking about...overall its not a bad set,nice looking old piece of wood...very clean.fresh oil and wax..finish is sort of a dull looking wax...nice smooth stock.nice color...selling as is,a project/parts set..do what you wish with it... because of the minor split and glue..sold as is......pictures tell the story,if you need more please ask and ill try to get them to you quick....ships fast,i try to ship next biz day....usps priority with tracking#..please allow extra delivery time..most have been ok,but po runs late here and there.out of my control after dropoff...US lower 48 sales only please.....not a bad original springfield with early 2 rivet guard and the metal..check out those pics!
